EVENT PLANNING CHECKLIST


Establish a budget

A lot of clients begin working with us to plan an event yet have no idea how much they’d like to spend. The budget provides us with a framework to plan the best possible event for you.

Does your wish list exceed your budget?

If so, choose what items and services are most important to you. Adjustments can always be made to create a spectacular event within any budget. Expect a few revisions of your menu during the planning process.

Plan an agenda for your event.

What occasion are you celebrating? Are there activities that need to be scheduled like games, presentations or toasts? What time would you like the food served? Will you be setting an ending time or may your guests stay as long as they like?

How many guests will be attending?

When you send invitations, be sure to request that your guests RSVP. When you contact us, you can tell your event planner how many guests you are inviting. You will need to confirm final numbers 7-10 days prior to the event. 

 

What is the feel or texture of the party?

Communicate with your guests. Let them know what will happen and when. What is the feel of the party, is the dress casual or formal, etc?

Will your event be held inside or outside?

If outside, do you have a contingency plan for poor weather?

What level of service will you require?

Full service with on-site staff. o Setup and Delivery - This service will assure that your guests are impressed with a beautiful display when they arrive, but will require a little effort from you during the event to take care of your guests. Pickup - Come to our Geneva location to pick up your food. * What additional services are available? We can help you with flowers, DJ’s, musicians, photographers, party favors, gift baskets for guests or hotel rooms, and much more… If you don’t see it here, just ask!

How much lead time will you need to plan my event?

Typically, 6-8 weeks is enough time to plan even a large-scale event. Popular dates during wedding season or the holidays can book up, so if your event is during one of these times you may want to start your planning earlier.
